Megger ESG NT2 (Ground fault locator)
Always get accurate results with automatic calibration
Featuring automatic zero calibration and integrated noise suppression, the ESG NT2 continuously maintains an accurate display. It automatically detects and eliminates interference from DC offsets, railway currents, industrial environments, and cathodic protection systems, eliminating the need for manual adjustments.
Easy to understand results
The ESG NT2 has a high-contrast color display on which the measured step voltage is displayed in two ways: as a bar graph (similar to a conventional pointer instrument), and as a continuous “history-display” which shows both the current process and the last 5 to 6 measurement records. In this way, changes are displayed clearly and continuously.
Locate cable faults in the LV network without supply interruption
Using the ESG NT2 and Megger’s new 50hz voltage gradient method, it is possible to detect cable faults in the LV network while the power is still on and households are still connected. It is no longer necessary to waste time securing customers or waste money on expensive excavations to disconnect households. In the event of a fault, a network operator can now be more cost-saving, secure and rapid in their response.
The ESG NT2 is the ideal tool for cable sheath fault location and ground fault location, allowing the user to accurately pinpoint sheath faults with simple procedure and easy-to-read results.
